Doing a “border bounce” in Thailand is getting more difficult because immigration officers are getting stricter. Chances are, they may not let you back into Thailand if you’ve come and gone many times.

The rules tightened again in September 2026. The 60-day visa exemption ended, most visitors now get 30 days, and you can only use the exemption at a land border twice per calendar year.
