วิเชียรมาศ: วันนี้ดูพี่ก้อยมีความสุขน้า(นะ) ร้องเพลงไปยิ้มไป แล้วเอาอะไรมาร้อยก็ไม่รู้ เดี๋ยวก็เอามาทาบที่คอเดี๋ยวก็เอามาทาบที่แขน สวยจังเลยอ่ะ
Wi-chian maat: It looks like Pee Goi is pretty chuffed today, singing and smiling away. And she’s stringing something, I don’t know what it is, and putting it first on her neck and then on her hand. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
สีสวาด: จริงด้วย สวยจริง ๆ มีมากมายหลายสี อยากได้มาผูกคอจัง คงโก้ดีนะ
Si Sawat: That’s true. It’s really pretty and it has many different colors. I want one to wear around my neck, it’ll be cool you know?!

Si Sawat: A-ha! I remember it now. The other day, I heard Pee Goi say that she was going to string some beads to make a necklace to be given as a birthday present to Mum, her mother.
วิเชียรมาศ: โอ้โห คงเป็นของขวัญที่คุณแม่ถูกใจนะ ป่ะ เราไปหาพี่ก้อยกันเถอะเผื่อพี่ก้อยจะร้อยลูกปัดมาผูกคอเราบ้าง
Wi-chian maat: Wow! I think that it’ll be a present that Mum will be quite taken with. C’mon, let’s go look for Pee Goi. You never know, maybe she’ll string some ‘look bpat’ around our necks for us.

Narrator: ‘Look bpat’-s are glass or stone beads in various colors, with a hole right through the middle. You can then use a cotton or silk thread to string them to make a necklace or bracelet. ‘Look bpat’ is written ‘lor ling’, ‘sara oo’, ‘gor gai’, ‘bpor bplaa’, ‘maai han-aa-gaat’ and ‘dor dek’.
