Narrator: ‘Ka-nom sai sai’, or ‘Ka-nom sot sai’, is a Thai dessert with a filling made from almost ripe coconut that is shredded, mixed with palm sugar until it becomes glutinous, moulded into a round shape, covered with black sticky rice; which is itself covered with a mix comprising of rice flour mixed with coconut milk and salt, that is cooked until glutinous. This is then wrapped in banana leaf or placed in a small container made from banana leaf and then steamed until cooked.
